Mohammadhossein Sadeghiamirshahidi

Dr. Sadeghi earned his PhD in Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical Engineering focus in 2019. Dr. Sadeghi also has more than 5 years of work experience in the construction and mining industries. His research areas include:
• Soil and rock mechanics
• Geotechnical Site Investigations
• Measurement While Drilling (MWD) in geotechnical engineering
• Ground improvement and foundation design
• Bio inspired Geotechnics/Foundations
• Geomaterial behavior and testing
• Artificial intelligence and machine learning in geotechnical engineering
• Slope stability and debris flow hazards
• Stability of underground structures
• Mine tailings and abandoned mines geohazards and remediation
• Intellectual, numerical and analytical modeling
Dr. Sadeghi’s research has been supported through external funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Road Research Alliance (NRRA), the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT), among others.
