Measurement While Drilling Project – Nebraska

This project is funded through National Road Research Alliance (NRRA) — a cutting-edge research initiative focused on enhancing Measurement While Drilling (MWD) applications in geotechnical subsurface investigations. Spearheaded by a diverse team of engineers and researchers, this project combines real-time drilling operations with advanced geospatial analysis to optimize drilling efficiency and improve the geotechnical site investigations by providing continuous estimates of geomaterial type and engineering properties (e.g., SPT-N-values, undrained shear strength, etc.).

Explore our interactive map displaying the precise locations of all boreholes drilled as part of the NRRA-funded Project in Nebraska. Each marker on the map represents a borehole where MWD data was collected. Click here to view the full interactive map with geological layers.

Click on any borehole to view details of each drilling project. This map serves as a visual overview of our fieldwork coverage and supports further analysis of subsurface conditions and drilling performance across the study area.

Use the zoom and filter features to focus on specific regions or datasets.

Use our MWD Calculator Tool to calculate compound parameters and estimate soil properties such as SPT-N-Values.
